House Homeland Security Committee Ranking Member Mike Rogers (R-AL) told The Hill’s Scott Wong today that he believes President Trump has the authority to launch military attacks against Iran without seeking an additional Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) today on C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers.” The last AUMF that Congress approved was in 2001, authorizing military action in Iraq following the September 11th terror attacks.
