The Terraria 1.3 update has introduced tons of new items to play with, some are absolutely amazing. I've realized after a month however that while some a really useful, some I tend to use once or twice and then store them in a loot box never to be used again! Items in Terraria can be obtained in many different ways, such as: Killing Enemies (and certain town NPCs) Mining various Blocks Smashing Pots Finding Chests Buying from NPCs Getting from other players in multiplayer Smashing Crimson Hearts or Shadow Orbs Breaking Enchanted Sword in stone Smashing Plants Catching Critters with a Bug net Fishing in various biomes and liquids. Terraria items come in 6 main categories: Tool, Weapon, Accessory, Crafting Material, Consumable, Armor.
